Pay Hazardous Material Transport Fines or Cease Shipments

The U.S. DOT has issued a final rule strengthening the enforcement of civil penalties for violations of federal hazardous material regulations (HMR) and the federal motor carrier safety regulations (FMCSR). The final rule prohibits a person who fails to pay a civil penalty, or fails to abide by a payment agreement, from transporting HAZMAT materials
